I didn’t choose the demons. I chose to fight them.
I know what it’s like to give everything you have to become successful—and then discover that the same ambition that makes you powerful can also become destructive.
For me, the battlefield was my own mind and body.
Music, dance, sports, and entrepreneurship became my weapons of choice. They gave me confidence, creativity, discipline, and a way to express who I was.
They also gave my obsessive ambition somewhere to hide.
Behind the drive for excellence, I was fighting inner demons that followed me from childhood through the next two decades: anorexia, bulimia, addiction, and depression.
I pushed my body past its limits. I restricted food in pursuit of perfection. I abused substances to work harder, numb pain, and keep going. And I treated vulnerability like a dangerous weakness.
Because I believed success was worth almost any price.

Then everything I had built started fighting back.
I couldn’t find the right outside help—or even the right words—to explain wounds that were unseen, unnamed, and layered with trauma.
But I still had a life to build.
So I had to go somewhere I had never been taught to look:
inside.
I learned to recognize my felt sense—the physical and emotional signals beneath the chaos—and to build something I had never believed I was allowed to have:
unconditional self-respect.
My worth could not depend on my performance.
Strength Over Struggle

Through the darkest periods of my life, I heard an inner voice telling me:
“Embrace the loneliness now. Reach inside yourself. Stay true to who you are. Someday, you will do something the world will value.”
I didn’t follow a conventional recovery story. I had to learn how to listen, discern, survive, and rebuild.
And slowly, I discovered that the traits I once used to destroy myself—intensity, discipline, ambition, physicality, creativity, and an unwillingness to conform—could become tools for healing instead.
Not weapons against myself.
Weapons against the demons.
That’s how the Inner Demon Crusher was born.

Today, I’m the frontwoman of metal band Karkaza, professional acrobatic dancer, psychiatric service dog trainer, and a driven entrepreneur.
Music. Dance. Discipline. Business. Faith.
These aren’t separate pieces of my life. They’re the things that taught me how to turn chaos into controlled power.
I became the Inner Demon Crusher by taking what once fueled my destruction and learning to wield it differently.
Because healing shouldn’t require you to abandon your ambition—or become someone you’re not.
Your healing journey shouldn’t end because you haven’t found the perfect words to describe what you’re fighting.
You can heal and build a life at the same time.
Mind-body harmony is how I connect faith, health, identity, and real-world goals.
I’ve fought my demons.
Now let’s crush some together. 👊
